Celestron Astromaster 90AZ - 90/1000 mm refractor telescope
A powerful dual-purpose telescope appropriate for both terrestrial and celestial viewing

The 90mm refractor collects 65% more light than the 70 mm model, so it´s not only impressive on the moon and planets, but many deep-sky objects can already be seen. Since a refractor, unlike a Newtonian reflector telescope, does not require a secondary mirror in the telescope, it collects just as much light as a slightly larger Newtonian telescope.

The altazimuth mount is ideal for nature observations, but thanks to the long handle, you can track the telescope accurately for astronomical observations even at high magnifications - almost like slewing a pair of binoculars. Thanks to the Amici prism, which provides upright, laterally correct images, this works quite intuitively.
The telescope is ready to use in minutes - mount and tripod form a single unit, so all you have to do is set up the tripod and secure the telescope in the saddle plate with a clamping screw. The eyepiece rest plate simply snaps into place in the tripod. Then all you have to do is decide on an eyepiece and you´re ready to go. Disassembly is just as quick.

The AstroMaster Telescopes
If you´re looking for a versatile telescope for both sky and Earth observation, look no further than the AstroMaster series. The Amici prism included with the refracting telescopes provides upright, laterally correct images with any eyepiece.

An AstroMaster not only provides breathtaking views of the moon, Saturn with its rings, Jupiter with its bands and moons, nebulae and star clusters. You can also observe solar activity with an optional solar filter. If you are less interested in the solar system and more in the brighter deep sky objects like the galaxies and nebulae, we recommend one of the Newtonian reflectors with larger light gathering aperture.
