Canon Digital SLR cameras have long since become accepted as outstanding cameras for digital astrophotography if one does not want to depend on a computer but nevertheless create beautiful digital astrophotographs.

But a weakness for astrophotographers is the IR cut filter which is built into the camera. It cuts off a relatively large portion of the red part of the spectrum. The result is that red nebulae (H-II regions) appear relatively faint.

One possible solution is the removal of the integrated IR cut filter without replacement

The orginal filter of the camera is removed, so your Canon EOS camera mit full-frame sensor becomes fit for astrophotography.

The sensitivity in the red spectral range increases significantly - about three times.

Now the camera is usable for astrophotography. Although the other camera functions still work, in normal photography the image appears strongly shifted to red.

The conversion is done by the Canon service department and not in a "backyard workshop". Therefore we can offer you full warranty for the conversion. The camera will come back to you in mint condition.
