"Bad things first: - The adapter from 2"" to 1.25"" in the visual back is garbage (only one retaining screw) - The 9mm eyepiece is almost useless as well. Synta could put a much better equivalent length eyepiece instead for 10-20 EUR more - On a HEQ5 mount, when trying to focus manually, the very long distance makes it very susceptible to vibrations from the hand or the floor. Good things: - Sharp and contrasty views (as long as you manage to focus accurately). Tested on land targets 6+ km away during the dawn, very clear views.For accurate focus, you will probably need a focus motor. - Lighter than a C9.25 SCT and less volume. - Finder scope is fine, it takes some effort to collimate with the OTA due to very long focal length (2700mm is no joke) Would like to see a Losmandy dovetail for it, or mounting rings (it has an unusual diameter, approx. 216mm)."

"Leider war die Optik am Stern nicht sauber einstellbar. Die Abbildung blieb ein Ei. Es war hoffentlich nur ein Exemplarfehler. Deshalb Rücksendung. Ein 150er Meade konnte ich hingegen einfach und stabil kollimieren. Trotzdem bin ich überzeugt, dass dieses Skywatcher Maksutov eine Empfehlung wäre. Bemerkenswert war die geringe Obstruktion (Planetenbeobachtung) und sonst bei Maksutov gute Abbildungsqualität. Aus meiner Sicht besser gegenüber SC-Teleskopen."
