Especially for high-quality refractors used for astro photography, this focuser is a useful accessory because standard 2" systems cause vignetting when the focal ratio is faster than f/7.

Full 3" (76mm) free aperture with anti-reflective baffling and blackened inner parts
On the OTA side, mount for 4" ring dovetail accepting the optional adapter #295 7105 M100_a or #295 7106 M116_i or the #295 7109 39mm extension
Eyepiece side including M82/M68 #295 7104 adapter and 2" clamp with eyepiece projection adapter M68/2"/M68 giving access to 2" and M68 accessories (e.g. for telecentric systems, Solar Spectrum H-a filters and many more)
Measurement connection flange to 2" receptacle: 89 mm

Focusers by Baader - first quality at a top price:

The drawtube is equipped with massive steel rails as counter bearing for the adjustable travelling mechanism
The counterpart for the Crayford driving shaft is a laser-cut plate made of stainless V2A steel instead of aluminium
A stopper screw with turnable beared pressure pad blocks unintended travel even at high load
All joints between drawtube and outer case run steel-on-steel with ball bearings. The results is a stress-resistant focuser suitable for heavy cameras
All steel parts and gears are designed for long-term and motorized operation. The whole focuser is much more solid than standard Crayfords whose steel/aluminium pairings wear in with the time
Heavy 1:10 reduction gear, completely machined from V2A and hardened steel
Essential for CCD and DSLR photography: No tilted focus planes because the whole bearing system is designed completely adjustable

Special 1.25" reducer - see "recommended accessories"

With some telescopes, it is often necessary to act carefully with every mm of back focus. For this reason, Baader offers the "push fix" system. This is a 2" - 1.25" reducer which does not require any back focus. In some cases, like TeleVue Nagler or Speers Waler eyepieces, this is essential to reach focus.

This holder consists of two parts: the "BA Suchershuh" accepting standard viewfinder holders and the Baader quick release 3 or 4 for the viewfinder of your choice.
