Trutek motorized filter wheel 2“ – super slim

Protect your valuable 2" filters and optimize their use for photography. This filter wheel is completely machined from aluminium. The filters can be individually chosen via your PC using a common software like AstroArt, MaxIm DL or similar applications. A standard program for the filter wheel control is included. Alternatively, you can also control the filter wheel with the optional hand box - no separate PC is needed then. The filters are precisely positioned by a infrared sensor.

The mechanical connections:
The housing has a female SC thread (50.8mm) on both sides. Upon request, M54 threads are available alternatively. Please specifiy with your order. Using the adapter rings shown in the "accessories" folder, nearly any telescope / camera combination can be attached.

Note: Please use only the original Trutek adapters having extra short threads. Other adapters with longer threads may collide with the filters.

The optical length:
The filter wheel's thickness is 21.5mm without additional adaptions. These adapters add 2mm to the length each.

The free aperture:
The Trutek filter wheel has been optimized for maxium aperture. If offers 46.5mm. Combined with the short back focus, it guarantees unvignetted illumination even with bigger sensors.

Filter inserts:
The following filter inserts are available.

4 x 2“ Filter + 1 Dark (Position #1 opaque for dark frames) - included with the delivery.

5 x 2“ Filter

8 x 1.25“ Filter

Exchanging the filter insert:
The filter insert can be changed without tools and without disturbing the telescope. Focus and camera position remain the same. Opening the filter wheel housing is possible without removing it.

Controlling the filter wheel:
* directly via PC using a 3m RS-232 cable and a standard program - included with your purchase. An USB adapter is available optionally.

* via an external Program like AstroArt, MaxIm DL etc.

* without PC using the optional hand controller (see "accessories".

12 VDC, 300...500 mA – wall adapter is included.
