Orion UK VX12 - 300mm f/4 Newtonian telescope - 1/8 Lambda and dual speed

A transportable 300mm Newtonian that still can be carried around in a normal car is not miracle anymore.

The compact SPX300 with only 1200mm focal length fulfills these criteria. With a weight of only 14kg, it still can be carried by moderate mounts.

300mm and the HILUX coating is a strength that comes into play when observing Galaxies and Nebulae.
It reveals numerous details and faint structures even on planets.

This telescope is also a great system for ambitious astrophotographers. Best results are to be reached by using the Televue Paracorr comacorrector that guarantees pinpoint stars to the very edge even with larger CCD chips.

Deep-sky photography

Each SPX Newtonian offers the possibility to AP in prime focus. The telescope offers large backfocus, therefore You can attach every camera and numerous accessories.

Moreover, the secondary mirror is dimensioned for covering APS format camera chips.

Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual speed:

Each SPX Newtonian comes with a solid CNC made Crayford. For a higher accuracy especially for astrophotography we provide them with a 1:10 micro transmission.

Also included is the reducing part for 1,25 inch accessories.

Please note that we already include the 1:10 micro transmission out of the box.

Primary mirror cell - 9 points - adjustable:

The SPX 300 is delivered with a high-quality 9 point primary mirror cell.
The Cell-Design is computeroptimized for astrophotography

Skywatcher H-EQ5

A very stable and economically priced mount with tracking in both axes.
The H-EQ5 is a workhorse for amateurs interested in both, Observation and Astrophotography. Also a polarfinder is included for precise Alignment.

Celestron CAM

This is also a solid basis for Astrophotography and Visual obseravtion. Out of the box, the CAM is ready for astrophotographers. You have got a fully operational GOTO System included, as well as the autoguider plug ST4.
For a better polar alignment there is also an electronical alingnemnt function.
However, we recommend the CAM for visual use only.

Skywatcher EQ-6

The workhorse itself. With a weight of nearly 20kg and a moderate price, the EQ6 is a mount still with a lot of reverses .

If You are interested in doing astrophotography, the EQ6 is the solution.
You can get the mount in very different variations. Beginning in the most simple form up to an autoguiding and GOTO platform

Celestron CGE Pro

the biggest mount from Celestron with a capacity of up to 45kg that is still transportable. Of course this is also a plattform for an observatory, even with bigger telescopes there is plenty of capacity left.

The CGE Pro stands for high precission tracking, Goto and all the other features, demanding astrophotographers need.

Some basic information concerning SPX

Newtonians

Optics	The mirrors stand for a great performance - already been proved by numerous phantastic astrophotos.
Imaging quality	The very accurate finish stands for an extraordinary imaging quality. The manufacturer guarantees 1/8 Lambda p/v wave with an RMS value better than 0,95.... that is much better than diffraction limited Even fast systems can be used for high quality planetary observation and imaging.
Mechanical components	Tube and focuser are made of metal. Also the primary mirror cell is neatly manufactured so that there won't be a problem with mirror tensions.
Weight	Due to its low own weight, all SPX tubes can be carried by comparable small mounts and are extremely transportable.
Mount	We offer tubes only, but also a complete set of tube and mount with all necessary adaptions
Reflection coating	Each SPX Newtonian comes with a 97% HILUX coating Your advantage: An increase of 10% more light compared to usual coatings.You'll receive approximately 1 inch more of aperture...
Service: optical performance	SPX Newtonians are all delivered with a Zygo Interferogramm. Before transport we check and adjust each and every Newtonian in our technical department.
