10micron GM 4000 HPS II GoTo Mount

10Micron introduces the new HPS mounts for dedicated astrophotographers who make demands on highest tracking precision and state-of-the-art electronics. HPS stands for High Precision and Speed. The GM 4000 HPS reaches a tracking and positioning speed of 8° per second! Theat is enough to follow even very fast satellites. The positioning accuracy is better than 20" and the tracking accuracy is approx. one arc second within 15 minutes exposure time - peak to peak!

Absolute encoders on both axes: The GM 4000 HPS has high-precision absolute encoders on both axes which opens absolutely new possibilities. The mount never loses its orientation, even if one axis is shifted by hand. After a power failure, no new alignment is necessary. In mobile use, the mount is quicker and easier to instal and to align than any conventional equatorial mount.

Tracking accuracy better than one arc second: Thanks to the absolute encoders, high-accuracy positioning and a tracking error below one arc second are possible without autoguiding and without achieving this comfort at the cost of the drawbacks of a direct drive mount. The dual axis drive allows an accurate tracking even if the polar alignment is not exact and corrects also the atmospheric refraction - without external PC!

Important note: No power supply is included in the scope of delivery. Operation only with a power supply approved by the manufacturer (see recommended acccessories section)!

Delivery exclusively in the transport box

Unfortunately, we cannot take back the transport boxes even if the mount is picked up, because 10Micron does not take back these boxes either. The boxes are part of the mount and must be ordered together with the mount. The general importer additionally points out that in case of repair the mount can only be shipped in the transport box to the manufacturer in Italy. We therefore recommend that you "flatten" the boxes and keep them.
