Baader Classic Ortho 10mm
Orthoscopic eyepieces are optimized for best possible contrast and image sharpness especially for observing the moon and the planets. Their orthoscopic properties also make them ideal for eyepiece projection photography.

Image sharpness on the optical axis is better than in typical wide angle eyepieces, so more detail can be seen..

"Phantom" Full Multi-Coating:

Baader Orthoscopic eyepieces feature a state-of-the art multicoating on all glass-to-air surfaces. This "Phantom" multicoating offers a particularly high transmission.
Orthoscopic eyepiece lens layoutOrthoscopic eyepieces consit of a cemented triplet lens group and a separate lens. Cementing three lenses requires sophisticated machinery and a lot of experience, but the result is a superb image sharpness on the optical axis - better than in ordinary Plossls or typical wide angle eyepieces.

Only eyepieces with this precise lens layout are considered Orthoscopic eyepieces.
