The computer control allows you to find a multitude of interesting objects with only a limited knowledge of the night sky. You basically only need to point the telescope at three random bright stars (you do not need to know the names of the stars), the computer will do the rest.

The telescope's database contains even more objects than can be actually viewed with a telescope of this size, so finding an object will not be an issue for you! Objects in the database include the moon, planets, nebulae, clusters and even galaxies.

Quick Release System:

The telescope itself can be attached to and removed from the mount with a single screw. With this quick release system it takes only a few seconds to assemble or take down the telescope. With optional adapters you can even attach a camera to the mount instead of the telescope.

Sky Align - Your Easy Way to the Stars

Sky Align is Celestron's revolutionary alignment method. Normally alignment requires some knowledge of the names of the stars on the night sky. Not so with Sky Align!

Step 1 ... Just enter date, time and observing location.
Step 2 ... Point the telescope at three bright stars - you don't need to know which stars they are! Even planets and the moon will work.

Once you have finished this simple procedure you are ready to start observing. The telescope will slew to any object you might fancy within a moment's notice, driven by powerful servo motors.
