Skywatcher HEQ-5 Pro Synscan - German GoTo Mount up to 14 kg
The mount is a transportable and powerful GoTo platform for medium-sized telescopes. It is completely ready for operation for advanced observation with automatic object positioning and for astrophotography.

For amateur astronomers seeking superior equatorial control and the ease of a precision computerized GO-TO system, the HEQ5 PRO SynScan is the answer. It is designed with the novice user in mind. With the user-friendly pushbutton hand control, locating and viewing the treasures of the night sky becomes as easy as a walk in the park.

The hand control allows you to point the telescope at a specific object or even tour the skies at the touch of a button. The user-friendly menu system allows automatic slewing to over 42,000+ objects. Even an inexperienced astronomer can master its variety of features in a few observing sessions.

The HEQ5 PRO SynScan also comes with features that advanced astronomers can appreciate:
Positioning Accuracy up to 1 arc minute. Accuracy enhanced by software collimation error (mount mechanical error) compensation.
Stepper motors with 1.8° step angle and 64 micro steps driven
Slewing speed up to 3.4°/sec (800X)
Auto Guider Interface for astro-photography
Power Supply Required - not supplied
Guiding speed selectable from 0.25X, 0.50X, 0.75X, or 1X
Object database containing complete M, NGC, and IC catalogues
Minimal vibration for steady long-exposure photography.

Manuals
In case you want to read the manual of the base mount before buying or just lost yours, here is the PDF: HEQ5_EQ6_SkyScan_en.pdf

There is also a manual for the hand controller: Synscan_V5_Hand_Control_Manual.pdf

Important note about power supply:
To avoid loss of warranty, please use only the power supplies and mobile supplies recommended by us. Especially simple car batteries or sealed lead-acid batteries can lead to an under-supply, which can then damage the sensitive electronics of the mount. Operating a Skywatcher GoTo mount with a non-proprietary power supply not recommended by us is at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding. Bin sehr zufrieden "

"Much improvement on my previous mount for reasonable price. Feels very sturdy and surprisingly heavy. Cloudy nights since I got it so can´t comment on tracking yet"

Bisher bin ich leider vom "Curse of the First Light" verfolgt... die Wolkendecke will sich einfach nicht auflösen.

"Perfect mount to replace my NEQ6. A lot more mobile and it still carries my SW 150PDS with all astrophotography gear with no problem (although the weight is at the limit of the mount for photography). Delivered well in time, well packed and in really good condition (new). Good offer by TS!"

"The Go To computer is very useful when trying to find deep sky objects. Setting up 100% correctly (alignment) is a bit of a chore at the beginning, but when you have done it more times it definitely becomes easier."
