German equatorial mount HEQ5 SynTrek with steel tube tripod, viewfinder and dual axis motor drive




The HEQ-5 is a complete package for the amateur-astronomical use. It comes e.g. with:

-- Steel tube tripod
-- Polar viewfinder
-- Dual axis motor drive with fast GoTo motors
-- Autoguiding Connection (ST4) - works perfect with the Stand Alone Autoguider Synguider

This mount is not only fit for advanced observing but also for astro photography.

Load capacity
The HEQ5 can carry with instruments up to ca. 14kg of weight. With longer tubes and/or photography, we recommend to use max. 2/3 of the maximum payload.

The SynTrek controller with fast stepper motors:The SynTrek version already has the high-quality fast stepper motors which are also installed in the SkyScan GoTo version. The maximum slew speed is 3.4° per second. It can easily be upgraded to the fully-functional GoTo (SkyScan) version by simply replacing the hand controller.

Additional to the normal functionality, the SynTrek version offers:
-- Sidereal, lunar ansd solar tracking speed
-- ST-4 compatible autoguiding port
-- Stepper motors with 0.144" encoder resolution
-- Correction speed of 0.25x, 0.5x and 0.75x sidereal speed
