Electronic Motor Drive for EQ-1 Mount. Automatical tracking of celestial objects - compensates the Earth's rotation
This motor is designed for the Skywatcher / Celestron EQ1 equatorial mount. It is attached to the RA axis of the mount and will automatically compensate the movement of the celestial objects over the sky.
With the motor the object you are viewing will remain in the field of view. This allows for higher magnifications to be comfortably used, and is also a great advantage when more than one person is using a telescope. While the two observers switch position the object will remain visible.
Specifications:
-- Tracking motor with adaptation for EQ-1 mount (table and field
version)
-- variable tracking speed. Speed can be adjusted with a
potentiometer
-- ON / OFF Switch
-- North / South switch. The motor can be used both on the northern
and the southern hemisphere
-- power supply through a standard 9V battery (included). The battery
will last approximately 40 hours under normal conditions.
