Telefokus - precise Focusing of your Camera Lens for Astrophotography
The Telefokus system has been developed from practical experience. It offers precise focusing and simultaneously fixes the focus position. Unintentional adjustment and therefore out-of-focus stars are prevented. The focus of this practical tool is not on a pretty appearance, but on practicality.

The challenge in practice:
Anyone who has tried to focus a camera lens manually on a star knows the game, a minimal movement of the manual focus is enough and the star is already out of focus. At some point you settle for a coarse approximation, according to the motto: "it´ll be fine" or, if available, you try with the autofocus, with rather moderate success. The result is often images with blurred and blown-out stars. Telescopes with helical focusing, such as the FMA from Sharpstar or the RedCat from William, also have a similar problem. Focusing is also often quite stiff, which can also cause problems with a light mount. Astrophotography often turns from a pleasure into a frustrating experience.

The simple and effective solution with TS Telefokus:
One complete turn of the thumbscrew rotates the knurled ring on the lens by 1 millimeter. If you turn the thumbscrew by 5°, you rotate the knurled ring of the lens by just 0.013 mm! You will never be able to focus so precisely without this aid and you will see the difference. You can then fix the position with the opposite screw and have the guarantee that the focus will be held 100% even after a longer exposure time. The adjustment is also extremely smooth. Even with small mounts such as astro trackers, it is easy to focus without jittering or unintentional adjustment. Telescopes with a helical focuser, such as the William RedCat, can also be focused more easily and, above all, more accurately.

Attaching the Telefok to the camera lens:
Attach the aluminum ring with the central bar to the rear part of the camera lens. The bar has to point to the front.
Attach the aluminum ring with the two thumbscrews to the front part of the camera lens which is turned for focusing. The central bar should be placed in the middle between the two thumbscrews.
Ready - now you can focus precisely, using the two thumbscrews and the central bar, and also lock the position, through simple tightening the opposite screw.
Autofocus camera lenses have to be set to "manually".

"Essencial product for camera lens"

"I use this focuser adapter for my Canon lenses. It works OK, but the two setting screws are a bit loose in their housing, so it gives a sideways play. I would be glad to see the adapter with one screw going all the way through, than you don´t have to losen one side before tightening the other side."
