Baader 1.25" 45° Amici Prism with 24 mm clear Aperture
Good, multi-coated Amici prism for an erect and non-mirrored image

Erecting prisms with 45° viewing position are mostly used for terrestrial observation. They show an upright and correctly orientated picture. It can be used with refractors and Cassegrain systems, but not with Newtonian telescopes, as they do not have enough back focus.

This model has a larger aperture compared with other Amici prisms of the same price - this is the main advantage of the multi-coated Baader Amici prism. Many prisms have only the normal 19 mm aperture and are therefore not suitable for long focal length eyepieces for overview magnifications. The edge of the image field is vignetted (shaded). With 24 mm, the Baader Amici prism offers 25% better illumination. It can also be combined with many binoviewers.
