Maksutov 1000mm Tele Objekiv

This powerful Maksutov Tele Objective - is a good alterntative to expensive original tele objectives for an interesting price. You can attach (nearly) any SLR camera with our adaptors.

The built-in multi-coated field flattener offers sharp focus over the entire field. This makes the Objective a powerful objective for birding, landscapes and astro photography.

The integrated sunshade offers protection against dew and straylight. It is screwed on the front side and can be mounted also vice-versa for easy transport.

Photography with the Objective

The Maksutov is a fast and versatile Tele-Objective. One of its main characteristics is the crisp focus, also off-axis.

Especially the crisp off-axis focus makes this objecitve interesting for demanding Photographers. The compact dimensions and short exposure times enable one to shoot without tripod. This is an interesting point for sport events and animal photography.

Astro Photographers appreciate the good field illumination and minor distortions. The picture of the hawk on the left was captured by Mr. Roth with the MTO 1000 - congratulations to this shot!

Adaptation to photo tripods is easy: The Maksutov Tele Objective offers two tripod threads. 1x 1/4" and 1x 3/8" (90° by side).

Important: If you want to connect a DSLR camera using a T2 ring, the adaptor TSM42-T2 (see accessories) must be used additionally. Otherwise the camera can't be connected.

An adaptation with a low profile M42 adaptor for DSLR cameras will not work. In this case the flash housing of the camera would collide with the objective.

Save connection to azimutal mounts and astronomical mounts with the MtoHalt (suggested acessories)

Maksutov 1000 Frontlinse

With the MtoHalt, you have a save connection to azimutal mounts. Both fototripod connections will use for a strong connection. So you can use the Mak also as a powerful tele objective for astrophotography or as a guiding scope.
