Massive Micrometer Device for Guide Scopes, Cameras, ...

An ideal solution for astro-imaging! The micrometer guide scope holder allows you to precisely move a guide scope or a heavy camera in both axes. This is perfect for guiding purposes where a guide star needs to be perfectly centered in the field of view.

This device eliminates the necessity to use bulky or difficult to use accessories such as guide scope rings or an excenter.

The GeLeit is very sturdy - there is no slack in either axis.

Examples of Use:

- Precisely aligning the guide scope in relation to the main telescope. Needed for centering a guide star for astro imaging. The Micrometer Device replaces conventional systems like guide scope rings or excenters.

- Adaptation of heavy tele lenses or compact photo-visual instruments parallel to the guide scope. Due to the micrometer movement you can reach a high precision of parallelity.

Saddle Plate for Telescopes or Tele Lenses

The Micrometer Guide Scope Holder has a standard saddle plate that allows you to attach telescopes, tele lenses and similar gear easily. The saddle plate uses the Vixen GP standard.

Attaching the Micrometer Device to a Mount

The micrometer device has a flat base with a central 1/4" thread. There are two additional holes along the center axis with a spacing of 14.8cm and a diameter of about 6mm. (E.g. for M6 or 1/4" screws.)

The Micrometer Device can be attached to our TS Doppelbefestigung (side-by-side mounting plate). This only requires a small modification to the Doppelbefestigung. We also offer a readily adapted version of the TS Doppelbefestigung with integrated Micrometer Device. You can find a link under "recommended accessories".
