The 800/8.0DX is a tele lens with a focal length of 800mm and a fixed focal ratio of f/8. This extremely strong tele lens will offer high magnification views of distant objects. All this it combines with compact dimensions and a low weight comparable with regular tele lenses of much shorter focal length. The tele has a robust metal body. The mechanical and optical quality are very good, which makes the tele the ideal alternative to modern but very expensive teles available from the major camera brands. 

The 800mm tele lens is ideal for outdoor photography. Just imagine how close you can zoom in on a bird on a tree! You can stay at a good distance and still get a full frame image!

The near focus distance is only 2m, which makes the tele well suited for taking photos of objects such as flowers, insects etc. at high magnification.

Focusing is done manually. With a little practice this works very well. Many professional photographers prefer focusing manually because this allows for more user control and best possible results.

On most DSLR cameras with a crop factor of 1.6 the tele has an equivalent focal length of 1280mm.

Compatible with all SLR cameras

The tele is compatible with all common SLR and DSLR cameras. You only need a camera-specific T2 adaptor ring. You can find the adaptor ring under "recommended accessories".
