Celestron NexStar SLT GoTo mount

The NexStar SLT is a compact computerized mount for telescopes up to ca. 3.5 kgs. With the low own weight, it is optimized vor visual observation. The GoTo system has a database with approx. 4000 objects, offers auto tracking and can be remote controlled by a PC. It is operated in alt-azimuthal mode.

Versatile GP-style dovetail clamp:
All telescopes up to approx. 90cm OTA length and 3.5kgs of weight can be adapted to this mount. The necessary prism rails are found in the "accessories" folder. With an additional L-holder, you can also attach Binoculars or Spotting Scopes to this mount in order to turn them into a GoTo system!

Delivery completely with field tripod:
The NexStar SLT comes with an aluminium field tripod allowing a continuous height adjustment from 70 through 120 cm.

Sky Align - the easy way to adjust the GoTo system

"Sky Align" is the new alignment procedure by Celestron. It is very user friendly:

Step 1: Enter Date, Time and Location into the control box
Step 2: Point the telescope at three bright celestial objects using the arrow keys (Moon and Planets are also possible). You
don't have to know them - centering is enough!

And you're ready! The NexStar can now point to any object that's chose from the data base as long as it is above the horizon.
