This mount of the NexStar 8SE is an ideal mobile base - a true "Travel Pro" solution. You can use the mount as table-top mount or set it up wherever you want with the stable field tripod.

Astrophotographic use of the NexStar mount:

This NexStar mount is well suitable for astrophotography. You can photograph moon and planets or create milky way panoramas with exposure times up to 60 seconds already in altazimuth mode. Time-lapse photography is also possible.

With the optional polar wedge CE820962, the NexStar mount becomes a full-fledged mobile astrophotography mount (image at left).
