TS SP55 Z with tabletop tripod

Compact but with good image quality - this is the TS SP 55 Z. Adapt to variing observing conditions quickly by changing the magnification within the wide field of 18x to 55x.

The TS SP55 Z can be used in any weather conditions. It is a true outdoor model: splash-proof and shock-proof.

Fields of use:
The TS SP55 Z is an allrounder, useable for many tasks: Marksmen, hunters, birder, general nature observation and also astronomy will be fun with this spotting scope. Because of its lightweigth design, it is very useful for hiking and airline board luggage.

In the "user reports" folder, you will find a picture of a target 70 metres away showing the high resolution of this spotting scope.

We offer two photo adapters who can be screwed directly onto the Zoom eyepiece thus enabling easy connection of compact and (D)SLR cameras:

Interchangeable eyepieces with fixed focal length: for even higher sharpness

Eyepieces with fixed focal length offer better sharpness and a brigther image. They are interesting for nature observers who want the max from their system. These eyepieces are especially manufactured for TS and offer a comfortable viewing position.

Installing: Just screw off the zoom eyepiece and replace it by the fixed one.

Available magnificatioins: 25mm (15x), 19mm (20x), 9mm (42x), 6mm (63x) and 5mm (76x)

We also offer the Baader Gen III eyepieces as an interesting wide-field alternative.

Teleskop-Service Tip: Photography with Spotting Scopes (Digiscoping):
The high-quality optical system allows using the spotting scope as powerful telephoto lens. Below the eyepiece's rubber eyeguard, there's a T2 thread for easy DSLR adaptation. You only need a T2 extension tube (TST2V20 for APS-C or BA1508153 for full format models) and a T2 bajonet ring for your camera model. The T2 extension screws onto the eyepiece and the T2 bajonet ring onto the extension. All these articles are found in the "photographical accessories section" below.

For compact digital cameras with fixed lens, we recommend the Baader Microstage.
