Red Dot Finder with quick release base

William Optics offers a red dot finder suitable for its compact refractors, not only from a technical viewpoint but also esthetically.

The big advantage over "regular" finderscopes is that it is much more intuitive to use and also is more compact.

This is not a cheap plastic part. It is a high quality metal finder and is very robust.

Adaptation to the Telescope:

The RDF comes with a quick release base that can be left permanently mounted on the telescope. It fits most Crayford focusers, e.g. William Optics, TS Optics and Baader.

Practical Tips from Teleskop-Service:

Telescopes with a short focal length do not need a conventional finderscope. With a long focal length eyepiece you can already get fields of view of 2° or often even more. For such telescopes a red dot finder is the ideal finding aid. Within seconds you will have pinpointed the objects and will then be able to see the object directly in the telescope's field of view.

The red dot finder can of course also be used during the daytime. You only need to use a brighter setting for the reticle.
