Astro Professional ED 80

Astro Professional ED 80 and theTS 2" Field Flattener: a dream team for astro photography. With this combination, you can take tack-sharp astro photos. A field of 43mm diameter is optimal illuminated so this combination is useful even for full-format sensors.

The advantages of the ED 80 by Astro Professional:

-- High quality dual speed (1:11) 2" Crayford focuser for precise focusing

Astro Photography with the ED 80 by Astro Professional:
This telescope delivers top-quality images.

The included TS 2" flattener does not influence the focal length or other optical characteristics. Behind the flattener, you have enough space for filter wheels, an off-axis-guider or other accessories because the flattener's back focus is >100mm.

An adapter set to DSLR cameras is included. If you want to use an astro-CCD-camera, please feel free to contact us:

Scope of delivery:

-- ED 80/560mm OTA with dovetail plate for photo tripods and GP level mounts
-- 2" dual speed Crayford focuser with 1.25" reducer
-- TS 2" field flattener with adapter set for DSLR cameras


The objective:

Fully multi-coated ED objective with 80mm aperture and 560mm focal length.

The image is nearly completely free of colour fringes and magnifications up to ca. 200x are possible.
The ball-beared 2" Crayford focuser

Highly precise working 2" Crayford focuser with 1:11 dual speed transmission. With the design, much attention has been paid on the use for astro photography.

The focuser comes with a 1.25" reducer in order to adapt for 1.25" accessories without any problems.

The focuser can be rotated by 360° thus making object framing easier. Additionally, more guiding stars can be found if an off-axis-guider is used.

The drawtube has a mm scale.
