The SKM 90 has a direct T-2 connection thread. So you can adapt your SLR camera using the camera specific T2 ring. Also digital compact cameras may be attached. The Star Max is comparable with a good quality telephoto lens of 1250mm focal length and f/13.9.

Practical tips from Teleskop-Service .... The Maksutov Cassegrainian System A Maksutov Cassegrain offers an image quality near to a classical refractor, while being very compact. The image is much better than using a fast achromatic refractor of the same aperture which suffers colour fringing. A Maksutov Cassegrain as a reflector does not show this fringing.
