ATK 16IC-S - colour - Sensor size = 8,09mm

This 16-Bit colour camera is a good-value model for direct colour shots of deep sky objects, planets and the moon. It has a very sensitive Sensor and therefore also suitable for smaller telescopes.

Noise reduction
The ATK cameras have a gain control system that suppresses the amplifier noise that would otherwise be visible on the left picture edge. It has also a peltier cooling system that raises the signal-to-noise ratio at long-term photography.

Construction characteristics
The case is compact and the peltier fan is embedded which prevents accidentally damage. A three meter long cable connects the camera with your PC that can be set up in a comfortable distance

Connectors
The camera has a female T2 thread (M42x0.75) and enables the connection of many accessories, e.g. tele objectives with T2 thread, 2" adaptors and so on. Included in the delivery is an adaptor to 1.25".

Effective Peltier Cooling
By the thermo-electrical cooling, the sensor temperature can be set to 25°C below ambient temperature. Thus reduces thermal noise effectively.

Auto guiding capabilities
The ATIK camera can also be used for auto guiding. It has an integrated ST-4 compatible port. The Artemis software is within the standard delivery.

Computer connection
The ATIK is conected to your PC via USB 1.1 standard; it is for long and also for short integration times ideal.
