German equatorial mount EQ2 with field tripod

Compared with its weight, the EQ2 is a solid mount that comes with an aluminium field tripod. It is a good choice for the beginner who wants a mount for medium-class telescopes.

Load capacity:
The EQ-2 accepts Newtonian telescopes up to ca. 130mm aperture and refractor telescopes up to ca. 90mm (100mm for short tube versions).

Teleskop-Service Tip:

When the EQ2 is equipped with the "MDEQ2" tracking motor and the "EQ2 Foto" adapter, you have a very nice platform for astro photography which is much cheaper than many other systems. With a standard lens (~ 50mm), astro photograpy with a SLR camera is possible.

When the EQ2 is used only for visual purposes, the "EMDEQ2" motor is sufficient.
