TS Imaging Newton Blende

This 8" optical tube is a very fast focal ratio f/4 reflector that has been mechanically and optically designed for wide field deep space imaging. It can be used with DSLR's, web cams and light weight CCD cameras.

TS Imaging Newton Crayford Auszug

2" dual-speed Crayford focuser: The drawtube has 34mm (1.35") of travel and there is 80mm of back focus available from the top of the focuser’s 2" accessory holder to the image plane. The focuser has two easy to grip coarse focusing knobs. One knob also has a smaller concentric knob with 10:1 ratio reduction for fine focusing. This provides precise focus control for CCD imaging. A drawtube tension knob on the side of the focuser lets you adjust the drag on the focuser drawtube to suit various equipment loads while focusing. A second knob lets you lock in a precise photographic focus.

TS coma corrector:

When a fast newtonian is used for photography, a good coma corrector is essential. The new TS coma corrector is optimized for f/4 and offers better field illumination than T2 at the same time. We recommend this corrector for optimal results with this newtonian.

Advantages of the internal baffle system:

The internal field baffles raise contrast significantly better than simple blackening or velours foil. Not only in the deep sky field, the results are better. Lunar and planetary photography also benefits from high contrast. In direct comparison, the TS Imaging Newtonian offers more contrast than a short SC with similar obstruction. So the Planet CCD Camera TSSSI (in combination with a good barlow lens) is a recommendable accessory part for this versatile telescope.
