Dual axis motor drive for EQ-5 / GP class mounts

With the dual axis motor drive, you can center objects easily in the field of view without touching the telescope - even at high magnifications. You can choose between three different speeds. So this accessory can also be used for astro photography.

The motors are fixed at the existing terminals on the R.A. and Dec axis. The R.A. motor compensates for the earth's rotation.

When the mount is polar aligned and the tracking motor is engaged, celestial objects stay inside the field of view. Extended observations are possible without the need of repeated re-centering actions.

The motor drive set fits e.g. to the following mounts:

-- Skywatcher EQ-4 and EQ-5
-- Celestron Advanced Mount ADM

-- Meade LXD 55 / Bresser Mon 2

Battery box

Perfect control due to stepper motors

The tracking speed is kept perfectly by the quartz controller. Additionally, you can center and guide objects with the arrow key with three different correction speeds: 2x, 4x and 8x.

Astro photography:

With the precise tracking speed control, the EQ3 can be used for astro photography. Both solar system and deep-sky objects can be captured, even with longer exposure times. With the 2x option, fine corrections can be made.
