Up to 60 frames per second
The monochrome camera DMK 21 has an ultra-fast 60 frames per second, making it one of the fastest cameras of its kind. This makes the camera ideally suited for monochrome astro-imaging with a very high frame-rate, e.g. for planetary or lunar imaging. The included software IC Capture.AS saves the stream free of comprimation losses as AVI file.
Monochromes Sony® CCD
The Astro-CCD camera DMK 21 uses the Sony monochrome Progressive Scan CCD ICX098BL. With a diagonal of 1/4" it offers a resolution of 640 x 480 Pixels. Even at long exposure times the noise level is very low. Due to its high quality the ICX098BL is frequently used for industrial applications.
No compression, no filtering
The DMK 21 CCD camera uses neither data compression nor an IR cut filter, colour filter or any kind of electronical filtering. This allows for maximum sensitivity and very "original" photos of the skies.
Fast Data-Transfer via GigE
The astronomy camera DMK 21AG04.AS generates a high rate of uncompressed monochrome images. In order to transfer these to the host PC, a very fast bus is required. Hence, the camera is fitted with a GigE connector.
Included Software for Windows®
The camera comes with the driver IC WDM DCAM TIS and the operating software IC Capture.AS. Detailed information on this can be found below under Software.
