The TS APO 905 is an ED APO with a particularly nice design and workmanship. The ED objective reduces false colour (the biggest problem for refractor optics) to a very low level. The resulting high-contrast images are ideal for observing and imaging alike, with beautiful pinpoint stars like only a good refractor will show them!

A True Travelscope:
Due to its short focal length and the retractable dewcap the TS Apo 905 has a transporting length of only 41cm! The robust aluminium case provides safe storage and an ideal means for transportation. It even has space for accessories. As such the TSAPO905 is a perfect telescope for journeys and travelling!

Very Fast Optics for Imaging:
With its fast focal ratio of f/5.5 the TSAPO is ideal for astro imaging. It provides much shorter exposure times than most other APO refractors. Short exposure times are not only ideal for astro-imaging, but also a big benefit for nature photography under low-light conditions. In addition to the shorter exposure times you can also photograph larger fields of view.

2.5" Crayford Focuser:



The TSAPO uses a particularly high quality focuser. Its 2.5" drawtube is intentionally overdimensioned to avoid vignetting that would otherwise occur with a standard 2" focuser. Of course you can still use all standard accessories with 2" or 1.25". The accessories are securely held in place with a compression ring.

The focuser features a 360° rotation. This allows you to easily align the camera or eyepiece according to your needs.

A Flat Field for Imaging: Image Sharpness to the Edge:

This very fast ED Apo is particularly well suited for astro-imaging with its excellent focuser and the short exposure times. Like almost every refractor the TSAPO also has field curvature which should be corrected for photography. The optional TS field flattener provides perfectly shaped and focused stars throughout the entire large field of view.
