The compact Voyager 2 Maksutov spotting scope offers a solid performance from the start. Its compact dimensions and high magnification are coupled with a robust body for easy travelling. During careless transportation the rubber armour will absorb most shocks and thus protect the optics.

The multi-coated Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system offers a sharp image free from false colour. Even objects several hundred meters away can be looked at in detail. The image will remain crisp and bright. The multi-coating plays a crucial part in achieving a high intensity image.

Fields of Use:

-- Nature / Birdwatching ... the large zoom range and the high contrast image are ideal for nature observing. You can zoom in even on distant objects and view them in detail. At the same time you can still reach focus on a close-by object.
-- Targe Shooting / Archery ... Up to about 60m distance you can easily locate your hits.
-- Astronomy ... a nice spotting scope also for trips through our universe. You can see many craters on the moon, the phases of Venus, even the rings of Saturn!  Locate multiple stars or view star clusters in high resolution.

For this spotting scope we recommend to always use a camera tripod. In our experience such magnifications cannot be used in free-handed use.

The Voyager 2 is ideal for travelling:

The instrument is only 28cm in length with a weight of only about 700 grams. This makes the Voyager 2 a dedicated spotting scope when portability is a major concern. It is even suitable for airline travelling or for hiking trips.

Precise focusing through a large focusing ring:

The focus mechanism is operated with a large focusing ring, rather similar to the way you operate a camera lens. The ring is large enough so that you can still turn it even with thick gloves.
