Skywatcher finishes the rich-field family with this top-of-the-line telescope. These fast systems are optimized for observing wide fields with low magnification. Here, this model is nearly unbeatable because the chromatic abberation appears mainly at higher magnification.

The contrast power is one of a kind:
We made the experience that no other rich-field system can offer the contrast performance of a refractor with its 0% osbstruction. Even Nebulae that are minimal brighter than their surrounding area can be shown. This results in fine but obvious structures and pinpoint stars only a refractor can offer.

The SKR 1507 is no allrounder:
This telescope is not made for lunar and planetary observations. If you want to take a side-look on the moon or our planets, we suggest using the Baader Contrast Booster. This filter reduces the blue colour fringe to a tolerably level.

Photography with the SKR 1507:
We do not recommend this telescope for capturing the moon or the planets. Nebulae, star clusters and galaxies can be photographed very good but bright stars are depicted as big spots because of the chromatic abberation. The TS Flat 2 can greatly reduce the field curvature; find a detailed description in the "accessories" folder.
